OUR REGISTRY

Honeymoon Fund

We're going to Japan! Instead of a traditional wedding registry, we're asking guests to contribute to our honeymoon fund if they would like.

WHAT TO WEAR

Dress Code Inspo

For the wedding celebration at Lambs, our dress code is fun, personal, 70s LA pool party meets 90s downtown NYC. To make that easier to pull from, we've included a mood board of images to inspire. Some important do's and don'ts are included in the FAQ section below.

FAQS

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by the end of April, so we have a final headcount before summer begins.

Is there a ceremony before the celebration?

No! Please enjoy all the beauty Maine has to offer during the day and be ready to show up promptly at 6:30 PM to eat, drink, and boogie at our celebration/reception.

What time should I arrive to the celebration?

Please arrive promptly at 6:30 PM at Lambs for cocktails and oysters. Because there is no ceremony, we want to maximize our time all together by beginning on time. The address is listed below!

Lambs - 695 Broadway, South Portland, ME 04106

Is there parking available?

There is very limited parking at Lambs, so we recommend taking an Uber, Lyft, taxi, or carpooling. There is a residential neighborhood on Elm Street, just a short walk away from Lambs, for people who need parking beyond what is available at Lambs.

Is the wedding celebration indoors or outdoors?

While the celebration is primarily indoors on cement floors, there is a patio in front (asphalt) and behind Lambs (rocks) that we encourage people to enjoy, if the weather is on our side. No need to bring umbrellas or anything, but if the weather is nice, both outdoor and indoor space will be used!

What is the food and drink situation?

For dinner, we will be serving fresh-made pizzas from our James Beard-nominated local bakery, Night Moves (our faves), alongside salads and a fun little dessert. There will also be an oyster bar at the start of the night.

For drinks, there will be an open bar featuring signature cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.

How do I share dietary restrictions?

As we will be eating fresh-made pizza, salad and oysters buffet-style, please reach out to us directly if you have concerns or allergies to be mindful of. We will be in close contact with the bakery making the pizzas and will try our best to ensure there is an available option for all guests.

Will there be non-alcoholic drink options?

Yes! Lambs offers some excellent non-alcoholic cocktails, along with NA beer and soft drinks.

Is there a particular hotel or hotel block reserved for the wedding?

No! Stay wherever you'd like. We have some recommendations included the next question below.

Where should I stay in Portland?

Portland has many hotel, B&B, Airbnb, and VRBO options available. The first thing we'd say is if you're looking to stay near the venue (which is in South Portland, but is very close to the Peninsula of Portland – just across a bridge), we'd recommend staying in the Old Port or somewhere on Peninsula in Portland (if you Google Peninsula Portland, Maine you'll find what we mean by the peninsula).

Boutique Hotels/Inns: The Francis Hotel (West End) , The Longfellow Hotel (West End), Blind Tiger on Danforth (West End), West End Inn (West End), Best Bower (Munjoy Hill), The Mercury (Bayside).

Major Hotel Chains: Portland Regency Hotel, Holiday Inn Portland, The Press Hotel, and really any hotel on Commercial Street (Courtyard by Marriot, Canopy by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn).

B&Bs: There are tons, but we don't have any specific recommendations.

Airbnb & VRBO: Our only recommendation here is to try and find a place on Portland's Peninsula as that is the most walkable area in Portland, is a short drive or rideshare away from the venue, and has the most happening.

What is the dress code?

The vibes are intimate dinner party meets 70's LA pool party meets 90s downtown NYC night out (don't worry, if that is not helpful, we have a mood board linked below!). There are no hard rules, the most important thing is that you're comfortable and can dance!

For he's, she's, and they's: Full suits, neck tie/bow tie/bolo tie/no tie, skirts, midi dresses, gowns. Deep colors, rich textures, prints (once again – see the mood board linked below for help).

YES mix and match (striped skirt with polka dot top). YES color (bold, rich colors, but also anything that makes you pop!). YES prints. YES sparkle (embroidery, embellishment, sequins, oh my!). YES flats (or heels or hot boots or loafers). YES white and ivory (we aren't wearing white and do not mind if you do!). YES accessorize (feel free to lean into the drama). YES shopping your own closet or buying second hand.

NO chinos, NO sneakers, NO flip flops.

Are children allowed?

While we love having everyone around, the wedding itself will be adults-only.

That being said, children are more than welcome at the morning hike portion of the weekend!

Is the venue accessible?

The wedding venue is wheelchair accessible.

Is there a registry?

Yes! We have a honeymoon fund available on our wedding website for those who wish to contribute. We kindly request no physical gifts.

Will there be a shuttle to the celebration at Lambs?

No. We recommend you take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi. You may also drive yourself (if you are not drinking or have a DD) but parking is scarce at the venue. Please read more under our Parking FAQ.

Is there an afterparty?

Yes! For anyone who is looking to keep the party going, we will be offering a shuttle from Lambs to Bubba's Sulky Lounge, a funky dance club in Portland, where we will be boogieing the night away,

Can I bring a plus-one?

Unless specified on your invitation, no. We had to plan headcount very specifically and therefore have to keep it pretty tight in terms of guests. But if you have any questions or something has changed for you, please let us know and we are happy to discuss.

Can I bring someone not listed on the invitation?

Not unless you've had it approved by us beforehand. Our wedding venue will be full, so we must ensure our headcount is accurate prior to the wedding day.

LET US KNOW YOU'RE COMING
